Plotter cut vinyl decals are graphics, logos or lettering made with a cutting plotter from one-colour self adhesive vinyl films. Unlike printed stickers, they don't have a background colour so they appear as if painted on when applied.
These decals are commonly used for the decoration of store windows and home interiors, signs, stencils, etc.
Vinyl film is available in a wide variety of colours and qualities for indoor or outdoor use. They can be glossy or matte, fluorescent, reflective, mirror, gold, silver, etc. |

Vinyl decals are made with a cutting plotter which moves a small rotating blade according to the loaded digital artwork while the vinyl material is automatically rolled up and down the slider.
Once the design has been completely carved on the film, the material is taken out of the plotter and all the excess parts are manually lifted and peeled away. This process is called weeding.
The next step is to cover the vinyl graphic with the application tape which allows the whole design including all its loose parts to be transferred to a surface as one decal. |
|
Generally most materials used to make these decals are vinyl films which come in many different colours both glossy and matte. They are also classified as indoor or outdoor quality with guaranteed life of 3, 5 or 7 years and varying in thickness, type of adhesive, and price.

Our cutting plotter can load vinyl rolls of a maximum width of 60 cm.
Artwork needs to be sent as a vector file:.dwg, .dxf, .ai, .eps.
It is important that the design is composed of continuous and unified paths. Make sure that there are no hidden or repeated lines or any loose points across the design because the plotter will cut them and produce undesired results.
Artwork should be sent in 1:1 scale. If necessary we can create the vector file for you at a previously agreed rate. |
|
We need to see your artwork and material specifications before we can send you a quotation. Send us a vector file with a description of your requirements and we will respond as soon as possible. |
